SEO

We talk a lot about how to improve SEO to increase traffic. But there’s a second piece that’s often overlooked. How will it impact business?

Neglecting conversions creates a website that ranks high for keywords but attracts a bunch of users who aren’t looking to buy. That’s why you have to think about focusing on more than just technical SEO.

Broken Links

A broken link is a link that has no object or does not lead to anything. Causes for broken links could be programming errors, temporarily unavailable websites or if the address of the site connected to by a link has changed. Broken links diminish the quality of a website and make the job of the crawler more difficult. For these reasons, a website with broken links will appear lower down in search results.

HTTPS Security

Google has announced that going HTTPS. Adding an SSL 2048-bit key certificate on your site — will give you a minor ranking boost. Google says this gives websites a small ranking benefit, only counting as a “very lightweight signal” within the overall ranking algorithm. In fact, Google said this carries “less weight than other signals such as high-quality content
